Welcome to
Deep End: East of England
AT THE FOREFRONT
Creating a network of people serious about improving the health and well-being of those communities living in the most deprived areas across
East of England (EoE).
Who We Are
Deep End: East of England (EoE) is a network of people serious about improving the health and well-being of those communities living in the most deprived areas across the East of England. Together we will collaborate, support and advocate on behalf of our population, staff and communities.

We were SO excited to 'meet' many of you at our ONLINE LAUNCH in September 2021 !
119 people from all over the East of England came together and heard from Professor Graham Watt of Deep End Project, Scotland & learnt about the importance of maintaining wellbeing amongst our precious workforce; &
the need to consider "Coding is Caring", particularly Adverse Childhood Events which have so many long-term physical & mental health sequelae.

In September 2022, we met up again at our online Symposium & were delighted to be joined by Peterborough VTS scheme as well as many others from across the region to consider "What does 'Good' look like in the Deep End?"; "How to best support our most challenged patient" (teaching on trauma-informed care) & "Planetary & Population Health".

In September 2023, we learnt a great deal about the successful CORE20PLUS5 initiatives in our Deep End practices across the Region!

This year September 2024, we had yet another successful symposium with two amazing guest speakers: Miriam from Womeninpharma describing to us about Beyondbikinimedicine and the importance of gendered medicine, and Rebecca (Climate Change Educational Fellow) about the impact of climate change on our population (Resources from the talk under the climate change column of the website).

As you have requested, we will develop a 'Resources' page with links to the many great organisations & learning opportunities - coming soon!
